Klune-V has now introduced their new R.A.D's - "Rapid Air Downs". The R.A.D's are a clever invention to help in the time consuming process of airing down your tires before a run.

Remember those days when you had to take a key or a screw driver to air down your tires. Some people would just remove the valve, but then you have to get it back in before your tire goes completely flat,. Then products like Sun Performance - QuickAIR Deflators came out and greatly decreased the amount of time it took to air down your tires.

Ok, let's be serious though, who needs ultra fast air downs... Well, everyone... in today's society of fast cars, computers, Internet, and microwaves who doesn't want fast air down time. That's more time on the trail or talking to buddies!

We wanted to see just how much quicker these are... So we put them up against our QuickAIR Deflators. Here is what we found...

- The QuickAIR Deflators aired down a 35x12.50 SSR Swamper from 35psi to 10psi in about 4 minutes and 40 seconds.

- The Klune-V "R.A.D's" aired down the same 35x12.50 SSR Swamper from 35psi to 10psi in about 20 seconds.

So, as you can see the amount of time that it takes to air down 4 tires is greatly decreased, which means you're on the trail that much sooner. I don't know about you but when I go out, I can't wait to be wheeling. The other great thing about these is they are practically self cleaning. When you open up the valve the air just blows all the dust and dirt right off.

............

Our opinion of the RAD's... They definitely live up to their name, they're RAD! It's nice to be able to air down in seconds! Our only concern about them is the rubber seal going bad and letting all our air out, luckily, Klune-V supplies you with an extra seal, so we'll keep it in the Jeep just in case.

As you can see, ours stick out a little farther than we like, so what we're going to do is drill another hole and mount it opposite of the standard valve. That way we can air down and check the pressure at the same time. Check back soon to see the rest of the write up on that when it is done...

So, what do you do with those QuickAIR downs that you have? Hang on to them so that when you see that guy using the key or screw driver, lend them out so you can hit the trail that much sooner.

Happy Wheelin'
