I knew I had gotten rid of the Cypress and Pitch too soon and put away the cubit measurer and the Ark blueprints. Should have gone ahead and finished that built. With more record setting rains falling in Oklahoma we got hit with 7-11 inches of rain on Saturday. This raises our total for the year to over 40" of rain. Well, at least it is not dusty. Many roads across the area are closed due to high water and we are making national headlines across the country. Houses that have never been flooded are taking on water. Prayer is needed for the many of families affected. We at the Austin homestead are very lucky and just having to deal with a round about way to get into town. Yesterday morning I tried 4 different ways before finding a route not under water. Above is a couple of shots of Cemetery Rd which is the route we generally take into town. Think I will continue to go the long way which is about 15 miles out of the way. We are getting to spend a little time in the shop and getting started back into the flow with Nana's project and axle replacement on the jeep trailer. Check back in on the next issue for updates on both.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND

Can't stand it no longer. Gotta go wheelin. Get away from the shop and honey do's.
Well some of the Austin Clan will be headed for Disney, Ok. over the long weekend. Don't think the whole crew will make it but we have 6-7 rigs lined up to show up there. I figure it will be hot on the rocks, but plenty of cool water to cool off in when it gets too hot. Come on out and join us.
And yes Nana is still going to have to be driving the loaner.....
