Summer Doldrums
Well, my summer has not gone like I expected. The knee injury is healing well enough, I suppose, but Project BOYJ has been stymied by equipment decisions and waiting on parts. It is hot in the west. In fact, it has been breaking records all the way up to Caanda the way I hear it. Dry too. I expect full USFS closures before the year is out due to fire danger.
Of course, all the rain we did not get is dumping on Texas and Oklahoma. Editors Buell and Austin are walking/paddling out to the barns on any given day. Mercy. Editor Buell says even the pond turtles have abandoned ship for higher ground (which in Texas, means a tree or a freeway on ramp).
Still, I expect the welder will be donw with my transfer case soon and I can get back to work on the Jeep. As soon as I get over this cold that has be layed out right now.
Summer fun, I tell ya.
