Bye, Bye Bronco...maybe.

Well, I will miss the old girl, if and when she sells. Been a great truck. Took us to some neat places. But, she had to make way for a newer, bigger rig. She was a bit short to tow the Jeep and since the Jeep will replace the Bronco as a wheelin' rig, it kinda came down to a decision to pass 'er along to another family.

So now, this sits in the driveway.




My wife approves and the 3/4 ton GMC Surburban has all the bells and whistles. It will tow the Jeep and the camping trailer better with the 454 engine and it is just huge inside. In fact, my wife took a gaggle of church ladies up to the Sierras for a church retreat this weekend. Think lots of chatting, Starbucks cups, and four doors of leather covered, big block powered 4WD American iron rolling down the highway.

Anyway, I just listed the Bronco on eBay. Sigh. Looking at the pics makes me want to go out, fire her up, lock the hubs and run through the mud puddles the recent rain left behind. I now she would like it, but I am not sure the new owner would!

2007 Off Road Expo

Well, the Expo for the LA area has come and gone and was bigger than ever. Always a good time, it seemed like the crowds were smaller on the Sat I was there, but maybe it was just me or maybe the folks were spread out over the larger displays compared to earlier years.

Either way, expect a bunch of pics in the next issue of some of the favorite things we saw. Until now, here are a couple of pics. Know who the two autograph signers are in the one pic? Living legends, both of them.
