Progress continues.
No pics yet, but I am getting a few more details figured out. The vacuum lines were a bit of a puzzle. The factory spider of hard lines and nifty connectors was pretty much just bits and pieces. I had tagged what I could when i pulled the engine out of the donor car, but that was not enough.
After staring at the mess of lines and diagrams from the net and the afetrmarket manuals, I gave up and headed to the pic-n-pull. Golly, it felt good the be walking the hallowed halls of the junkyard again. After a while, I found a falirly intact Crown Vic in the Ford section that had a V8 in it. Not exact, but close enough the get an idea of where the supply line, vacuum canister, check valve, and TAb and TAB went to. Excellent.
I bought some tees and vacuum line from the auto parts store and had it done in 15 minutes. Shoot, I spent more time than that staring at the diagrams. I guess I am a visual learner. Once I saw it in the car, it made total sense. Along with that, I pretty much finished the 130 amp 3G alternator install/wiring and figured out the fuel lines. Having the donor car for parts was great. I cut the fuel lines way back under the passenger footwell and kept the factory connections as far as where it went to hardline. I can flare them and use double hoseclamped fuel injection hose to tie the factory Jeep hardlines to the Mustang lines. I will post pics of that once I get the driveshaft and exhaust run, or I am afraid I will run the lines where they get in the way of something.
Small details I know, but it all needs to be done. Next is the heater hose connection and the clutch master/slave install.
