We decided to run in a smaller group this day, so we set out with the two Austin Jeeps, Stan's T-Rex, and a friend of Stan's driving a trick boat-tailed Dodge 1/2 ton pickup.

Watching T-Rex in action was simply amazing. Stan figures he has 3500 pounds of unsprung weight on that truck in the Rockwell axles and six wheels. Detroits in all three axles made the T-Rex a ledge climbing monster. Poison Spider Mesa has a lot of character and became my favorite trail of the week. It had just enough difficulty to be fun and was very scenic with great vistas at some points.

From Poison Spider we tied into Golden Spike and then Gold Bar Rim where we tackled the Golden Crack, one of the classic Moab obstacles. That was a 9 hour day of wheelin'. Phew!
