
Tow Rigs Episode 2: More of the Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

The flat tow method:
The basic means of towing. The most inexpensive way of getting your junk to the trail is the tow bar behind a dependable tow rig. Dutch (of UCORA fame) drags his well built TJ to and from the trails in style. The only worry is whether the set up is done correctly, and the possibility of breakage to the rolling components of the towed vehicle while on the trail.
The General was thinking outside of the box while utilizing the strength and power of a full sized semi tractor mated with a refer van body to create a very functional toter.
The COOL meter was maxed out with this military version of a toter. Bet we would find some sleeping facilities in the confines of the ambulance. Military rebuilds are always super cool.
The only rules that matter is that it works. This crew cab Ford supports the home grown version of a very functional ramp bed.
Then we continue to keep running into the trains which are vehicles pulling more than one trailers.
I just have to stick in this nice Scout setup for Editor Mike Troy.
The up and coming popularity of the custom built Toter Home is growing in popularity at a rapid pace. More and more of these classy babies are being seen across the country as we travel the highways and byways.
Along with the Toter home, the Toy hauler is topping the charts on the popularity scale.
The cut down school bus is probably one of the most functional vehicles per dollars spent that we ever find. They offer plenty of space for your rig and also a lot of storage. Just build your living space in the size and style of your choice.

As we continue to seek out the different means in which our friends and neighbors get their junk to the dirt we are always impressed with their ideas. There is never an incorrect way as long as the job gets done in a safe manner.
