Over the years Sam Patton has put on many Driver Appreciation runs for his friends and customers. But the one Sam promoted this year was special. It was celebrating his 25th year anniversary of providing top quality 4x4 parts and service to the Tulsa, Ok. and surrounding areas. In the latter years, with the growth of internet marketing, his business has expanded far beyond the boundaries of Oklahoma.

For many of the off road enthusiasts, our first exposure to Sam Patton was with the release of the story of his heroic finish in the Top Truck Challenge in 2000. Sam was highly praised for his “Get Er Done” techniques by completing the brutal Tank Trap event where he finished with a broke axle and feeding the engine with a can of starting fluid while perched in the engine compartment and co-driver Mike Cox doing the driving. This valiant effort earned him the coveted Championship Trophy at the event that year.

This year as always, Sam made the Driver Appreciation Run something special for the entire families of his friends and customers. On September 12th & 13th, the Sam's followers converged on the popular wheeling paradise of Clayton, Ok. Here they would be treated royally by Sam, his family and his vendors/sponsors. Despite the rainy conditions, smiling faces were seen throughout the weekend.

As always when going to Clayton, there are plenty of opportunities to test both your wheeling ability as well as the ability of your rig. It is also a great opportunity to determine what your next upgrade might be that you want to purchase from Sam’s Off Road.

There was a great turn out and everyone was glad that they had penciled the event into their schedules. The variety of rigs ranged from mild to wild, but there is always plenty of action for every type of vehicle at Clayton.

Finally the raffle came where there were toys given away to the boys and girls of all ages. The food, the prizes, the wheeling and the fellowship were all things that will be remembered in the hearts of all of those that attended.

We here at C4X4 want to give a big old OKIE THANKS to the Pattons for all they do for 4X4 world. The Pattons always do everything with style and promote a very family friendly atmosphere at all of their events. Sam’s Off Road was also one of our sponsors’ for the past two Crawl 4 Christ events that we were part of.

So next time you are looking for some quality 4x4 parts and service, jump on over to SAM’S OFF ROAD in Tulsa, Ok. or visit their web site @ http://samsoffroad.com/
