Upon completing the roll cage and frame work of the Nana’s Goin' Big project vehicle, we now move on to stage 2.  The Stage 1 portion of the project was performed at a buddies shop in Yukon, Ok that is in the process of opening up for business.  I guess I can let the cat out of the bag about that.  Don Davis, owner of “SNIPERFAB”, has been working around us and the Nana Going Big project vehicle and trying to get everything set up to go into full production of a wide variety of offroad parts.  He has been setting his shop up with the latest in equipment.  He has been gracious enough to allow us access to the use of some of the nicest equipment available.  So, be watching for the SNIPERFAB name on products around the industry and keep that name in mind for a quality line of products.  The SNIPERFAB.COM web site will be up and running soon so you can check out their full line.

As we move on into the next stage of our build we felt that it was time to get out of  Don’s way so that he can get down to business.  Nana’s Jeep is now resting back at our shop where it will be completed.

With the arrival of the suspension brackets that we ordered from Poly Performance it is now time to start getting the suspension fabbed together.  After getting the fabbed body moved into its new location, the massive Rockwells were wrestled back into position under the body and measurements were taken so the work could get rolling again.  Brad welded the brackets together and tacked them into the appropriate location for the control arms.  Measurements were taken again to verify that everything was in its desired location.

The new steering rod ends arrived from Skyjacker and were used to bring together the controls of Nana’s ride.  The Skyjacker Joints were built into a heavy duty crossover high steering arm setup.

Skyjacker’s new rebuildable joints were used in conjunction with other components, some bought and some shop built, to assemble the custom built triangulated 4 link suspension to give Nana the big time flex that she is looking for.

Custom brackets were built by Brad to allow hookups for the heavy duty control arms to the massive Rockwell axles.  A combination of Rubicon joints, the new rebuildable Skyjacker joints, and massive 2 ¼ inch tubing with 3/8 inch walls make up the lower links giving Judy the strength to handle any abuse that she might choose to dish out.

Since our return, from the Labor Day weekend run at Disney, Ok. we have be burning the candle at both ends and attempting to wrap up this project before the summer temperatures leave central Oklahoma and gives way to the cooling night air.

You all just hang around and watch the wrap up of the “Nana’s Goin Big”  project Jeep.  Lets just see which will be the biggest, the 44” TSL or the grin on her face as she climbs into her completed BIG RIDE.

Until next report.  God Bless You and Yours….
