Several years ago, a toy company by the name Schaper revealed Stompers to the retail public and instantly became a hit. These 4 wheel drive cars and trucks could go anywhere. I remember playing with these by the hours with my friends. We would build obstacle courses and see whose truck could make it the farthest without any help. A few years ago, I checked out Ebay to see if I could still find them. Sure enough I found a ton of them. I purchased a few of my favorites for my son and I to play with, it brought back the old days.

Well, the torch has been passed! As I was surfing the internet a couple weeks ago, I came across a new toy that I just had to have. The new "Extreme Rock Machines" by Toy Zone is a true off-road battery operated vehicle! These rock crawlers can do it all! Similar design to the old Stompers, but with some awesome changes! These new "Rock Machines" have been geared really low to give them plenty of torque (they go really slow! - Can you say crawler gears!), as well as been given coil springs for extreme articulation.

These new "Extreme Rock Machines" were inspired by R.C.A.A (Rock Crawlers Association of America) along with our friends at Skyjacker. These "Rock Machines" were designed to keep us "Off-Road Junkies" wheelin' any time, any where!

We ordered 3 of these new toys for our family (So we could hold our own rock crawling championships) 2 buggies and 1 truck. When they arrived, we tore them open, installed the 2 AAA batteries and setup a true "rock" course and took turns trying to get through. These little machines work just like the real things! Articulation and all! The way these "Extreme Rock Machines" are built, they have the ability to be customized for looks and performance, and like you, I'm an "Off-Road Junkie" and can't leave well enough alone!

After my wife won the rock crawling championships in our family room, I took my rock buggy out to the garage for modifications before the next event. I broke out the Dremel tool and an old die cast Jeep body and modified it to fit on the buggy chassis (if only the real thing was this easy!). Within a few hours, the mods were complete and I now had a "Jeep" Rock Buggy to compete with. The trick to the whole modification was keeping the weight down so the springs could still flex properly. We now have 3 different types of "Extreme Rock Machine" toys around our house to tackle the toughest of obstacles!

Pick yours up today and enjoy hours of family entertainment. Here is where you can find them:
